When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader has produced a letter of the first respondent in L.Dis.No.35283/C4/2017 dated 08.09.2017, wherein it is stated that the petitioner has been promoted as principal vide G.O.Ms.No.190, Higher Education (F1) Department dated 30.06.2006, he has served as Principal in Government Arts College (Men), Nandanam, Chennai-35 and has retired from service on 31.05.2007.
