Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation by apprehending the accused and to file the final report in connection with Crime No.2 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police within a time frame as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and to file the final report in connection with Crime No.2 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 25.03.2016, a case has been registered in Crime No.2 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 468, 471, 420 of I.P.C. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

However, the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and lay a final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above.

4.Resisting the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation is going on and hence, he prays for considerable time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

5.Considering the submissions made on both sides, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2016 and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.

6.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
