O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2022 and to provide adequate police protection to her mother Ms.Thulasi Ammal, who is a senior citizen of 70 years old. 2.
The grievance of the petitioner is that she purchased a land for an extent of 24.5 cents in Survey No.47/14 at Villupuram District, A.Gudalur Village; since the petitioner shifted her residence to Chennai she left her mother to take care of the said property; in the meanwhile, one Boominathan approached the petitioner for purchasing the property and paid an advance amount of Rs.18,000/- and the remaining balance sale consideration was not paid by him; as of now he is cultivating the lands and refused to hand over the property to the petitioner and he also threatened her with dire consequences; in view of the harassment caused by him, the petitioner has given a representation to the third respondent police on 2/6
15.04.2022 and for which C.S.R. number was assigned in C.S.R.No.449 of 2022 and enquired. Since the petitioner's mother is alone in her house, she should be given police protection.

The dispute between the petitioner and the said Boominathan is civil in nature. Her prayer before this Court is that the respondents 2 and 3 should be directed to provide police protection to the petitioner's mother for all day and night which is impractical. If the petitioner's mother is being harassed by the said Boominathan, it is appropriate for her to lodge a criminal complaint for taking criminal action against him. The petitioner did not approach the Civil Court also for getting any order to restrain the said Boominathan from interfering with her peaceful possession over the property. If the petitioner really aggrieved, the rightful course open to her is to file a complaint for any specific occurrence or to file a civil suit on the basis of the cause of action stated by the petitioner. 4.
With the above observations, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
