PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents not to permit the third respondent to ply its vehicles on the route Tiruvannamalai to Melsolankuppam via Kalasapakkam, Vilvarani, Maadhimangalam etc. places without a valid permit and fixation of timings as contemplated under Rule 248 of the Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Rules.

ORDER

Mr.K.J.Shivakumar, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for respondents 1 and 2. Mr.P.Kannankumar, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the third respondent. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent submits that the third respondent - Transport Corporation was operating in the route "Tiruvannamalai to Melsolankuppam via Kalasapakkam, Vilvarani, Maadhimangalam etc. places" based on a temporary permit, which expired on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

9.11.2016 and thereafter, the third respondent Corporation is not operating any bus in the same route.

3. The said submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent is recorded and the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the above WMP is closed.
