Heard Mr.S.Murugappan, the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Babu Manohar, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent.

The petitioner in this Writ Petition seeks to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to issue speaking order for the assessment made in Bill of Entry No.6157042 dated 28.07.2016 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has given written instructions dated 29.11.2016 stating that the request of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of within 15 days and the petitioner would be given an opportunity to be heard in person and the principle of natural justice would be followed.

The said submission of the respondent is placed on record and the respondent is directed to pass a speaking order within 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.
