Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.10.2016 pending before the respondents 1 to 5 and direct the respondents to disconnect the

illegal drainage connection and restore the earlier connection within stipulated time.

Heard Mr.J.Willam Shakephere, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 to 3; Mr.G.Janakiraman, learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent; Mr.B.Kesavan, learned counsel for the fifth respondent; Mr.S.Paneer Selvam, learned counsel for the sixth respondent and perused the records.

2. This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to disconnect the illegal drainage connection and restore the earlier connection within stipulated time, by considering his representation dated 03.10.2016.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.10.2016.

4. The learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.

5. In the light of the above submissions and the nature of prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There is no order as to costs.
