O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent to register the complaint dated 04.04.2016 in CSR.No.156 of 2016 and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. On a reading of the complaint dated 04.04.2016, given by the petitioner, it is seen that some anti-social elements are causing nuisance to the petitioner and abusing her by ganging up near the house.

4. As per the direction of this Court, Mr.V.Chandran, Sub Inspector of Police, J7, Velachery Police Station, is present today.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the police have already registered FIRs in Crime Nos.669, 670, 671 & 672 of 2016 under Section 75 of the City Police Act against those persons. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submits that the Police have been instructed to take strict actions against that group and in order to protect the petitioner.

6. On a reading of the complaint dated 04.04.2016, offence under Section 4 of the Women Harassment Act appears to have committed by the opposite party, apart from other offences. Hence, the respondent Police is directed to register a regular FIR in CSR.No.156 of 2016 and take stringent action against the anti-social elements, who are causing a serious threat to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
