The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to initiate action in pursuance of his representation dated 17.05.2023 by restraining the occupants of the petitioner's premises from carrying on business without valid license from the respondent.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, on instructions, submits that based on the representation of the petitioner, the premises of seven occupants were already sealed and in respect of other four occupants, notice has been issued by the respondent on 09.06.2023, calling for explanation from the occupants and subsequently, notice under Section 114(A) of Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998, was also issued directing them to stop the business within 24 hours.

3.In view of the fact that the respondent already initiated action based on the representation of the petitioner, the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent is recorded and the Writ Petition is closed.
