ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M. VENUGOPAL, J.) Heard both sides.

2.With the consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The petitioner has projected the instant writ of mandamus praying for passing of an order, directing the respondent to pass orders on his application dated 18.02.2015 for issuance of community certificate to his daughter and son viz., (1) S.Thamaraiselvi and (2)S.Balaji Mitra based upon the community certificate already issued to his blood relative that they belong to "Kattunayakan (ST) community".

4.It comes to be known that the petitioner had addressed a representation/requisition letter to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranipet, Vellore Division on 18.02.2015 through registered post with acknowledgment due, seeking issuance of community certificate in question to his daughter and son as stated supra. It appears, till date, the representation praying for issuance of community certificate to the children of the petitioner has not met with any positive response. 5.Inasmuch as the petitioner is seeking only issuance of community certificate to his daughter and son viz., (1) S.Thamaraiselvi and (2)S.Balaji Mitra , this Court, in the interest of justice, fair play, equity, good conscience and even as a matter of prudence, directs the respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranipet, Vellore district, to look into the representation of the petitioner dated 18.02.2015 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order on merits (of course, after adhering to the Principles of Natural Justice), within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
