Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2016 seeking permission to desilt and to remove the encroachments in water bodies comprised in S.Nos.23 and 52 of Kelambakkam Village and also for construction of banks in the said water bodies. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The allegation of the petitioner is that the other village residents made encroachment in water bodies situated at S.Nos.23 and 52 of Kelambakkam Village.

2. The last representation dated 02.08.2016 be looked into by the second respondent and inspection of site to be carried out within 15 days from the date of receipt of this order, and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

in case, encroachment is detected, necessary order be passed within two months thereafter, after notice to all concerned and encroachment if any, be removed within the same period of time.

3. The writ petition is disposed of, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
