The petitioner/A1 in Crime No.174 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections Sections 3

(1) of Solvent Raffinate and Slop ( Acquisition, Sale, Storage and Prevention of use in Automobile) Order 2000 R/w7 (1) (a) (ii) of EC Act, 1955 seeks anticipatory bail with respect to the occurrence which had taken place on 21.08.2023.

2. It is stated that the petitioners had loaded for transportation, industrial oil by mini lorry bearing Reg.No.TN 05 CL 9558 and another lorry bearing Regn.No.TN 03 AD 0147 without any permit. It is also stated that totally 8,000 Litres of oil were transported in that manner.

3. The learned counsel stated that one of the accused has been granted bail by the learned Judicial Magistrate-I, Thiruvallur, but

however, taking into consideration the seriousness of the offence and particularly there is one previous case of similar nature against the petitioner herein, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 12.10.2023 nst/vv
