Petition is filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of certiorari to call for the records of the proceedings in G.O.Ms.No.40/CHR/WAKF/T8/2002 Pondicherry dt.25.7.2002 of the fourth respondent and to quash the same with direction to the respondents 1 and 2 for reconstitution of the Wakf Board for Pondicherry under Section 14(1) of the Wakf Act, 1995(43/95). When the wit petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the period mentioned in the writ petition is already over and hence, the writ petition has become infructuous.
