The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned II Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the M.C.No.249 of 2012 within a time frame
2. The petitioner herein filed a maintenance case in M.C.No.249 of 2012 under Section 125 of Cr.P.C. on the file of II Additional Family Court, Chennai. Since the maintenance case is pending for three years, the petitioner came forward to file the present criminal original petition seeking a direction to the learned II Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the M.C.No.249 of 2012 within a time frame.
3. In view of the order that is going to be passed, this Court is of the opinion there is no need to issue notice to the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned II Additional Family Judge, Chennai to expedite the trial in M.C.No.249 of 2012 and dispose of the same as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
