Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, Kambainallur Police Station, Dharmapuri District to complete the investigation in the above case in Crime No.279 of 2012 and file a final report before the concerned court within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed praying for a direction to the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, Kambainallur Police Station, Dharmapuri District to complete the investigation in the above case in Crime No.279 of 2012 and file a final report before the concerned court within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2.The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against one Chennakrishnan and 10 others (five named persons and five unnamed persons) for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 324, 323, 307 of IPC. Though the complaint has been registered in Crime No.279 of 2012 as early as on 13.08.2012, till date the final report has not been filed. Hence, this petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the respondent police to expedite the investigation, complete the same and file final report as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
