The limited prayer sought for in the present petition is to direct the learned I Family Court Judge, Chennai to dispose of M.C.No.338 of 2013 within stipulated time. Since the direction sought for is against the Trial Court, the respondent could have not to say in the matter and hence notice is not ordered.

2. It is seen from the docket entries of the proceedings in the maintenance case that this case has been pending from 15.07.2013 onwards. Since the case has been pending for more than four years, it would be appropriate to direct the Trial Court to dispose of it expeditiously. Hence there will be a direction to the learned Family Court Judge, Chennai to dispose of M.C.No.338 of 2013 within a period of four weeks from the date of the receipt of the copy of this Order.

3. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
