The Revenue Divisional Officer Dharmapuri District Respondent Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent herein to pass orders on petitioner application dated 05.09.2007 regarding issuance of Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter and son viz. N.R.Sharmila and N.Santhoshkumar as they belong to Kurumans Community which is classified as Scheduled Tribe Community and pass orders within a time frame.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Prathapkumar, who is directed to take notice for the respondent.

The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent herein to pass orders on petitioner application dated 05.09.2007 regarding issuance of Community Certificate to the petitioner's daughter and son viz. N.R.Sharmila and N.Santhoshkumar as they belong to Kurumans Community which is classified as Scheduled Tribe Community and pass orders within a time frame.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he belongs to Kurumans Community and he was already issued with such community https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

certificate and when he submitted a representation wayback on 5th September 2007 for issuance of community certificate for his two children viz., N.R.Sharmila and R.Santhoshkumar contending that it is required for their study in Kendriya Vidyalaya but, since nothing has been done on the part of the respondent, the present writ petition has been filed.

However, considering the length of period that had lapsed, it would be appropriate to direct the petitioner to submit one more application to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri for issuance of community certificate and produce all the documents in support of his claim, within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order and thereafter, it is for the respondent Revenue Divisional Officer to ascertain, by making proper verification from all sources and to do the needful sofar as the issuance of community certificate is concerned, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
