The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner was reinstated in service.

2. As far as the benefit of regularisation is concerned, the employees of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC) are on contract basis as temporary employees. Thus, the claim for regularisation cannot be considered.

3. However, the grievance of the writ petitioner for reinstatement has already been redressed. Therefore, no further adjudication is required and consequently, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. Connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
