O R D E R

Petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the Respondents to sanction the Death Relief Fund of his son viz. Senthil Kumar, based on his representation dated 01.09.2015.

According to the Petitioner, he is a small Agricultural Coolie. In a road accident, the Petitioner lost his only son viz. Senthil Kumar on 17.03.2009. As the Petitioner's family was much dependent on the earnings of his deceased son, as per G.O.Ms.No.471, dated 23.05.1989, the Petitioner made an Application seeking Death Relief Fund, along with necessary documents. As no orders are passed on his representation, the Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that, this Court may issue a direction to the Respondents herein to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2015, within a stipulated period.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents submitted that, during the pendency of the Writ Petition, interim relief of a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) was paid to the Petitioner. However, he submitted that, the Petitioner's representation will be considered in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into its merits, this Court directs the Respondents herein to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 01.09.2015 in accordance with law and as per the Chief Minister Relief Fund Scheme, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
