ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.386 of 2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police (Law and Order), M-3 Puzhal Police Station, Puzhal, Chennai as expeditiously as possible within a stipulated period.

2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 03.04.2016, a case has been registered in Crime No.386 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Section 309 of I.P.C. read with 4 of Women Harassment Act. However, the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and lay a final https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above.

4.Resisting the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation is going on and hence, he prays for considerable time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

5.Considering the submissions made on both sides, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.386 of 2016 and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible.

6.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
