This Criminal Original Petition is filed for speedy disposal of C.C.No.448 of 2019 (Formerly C.C.No.131 of 2014 on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court at Erode) stating long pendency for commencement of trial.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State submits that case is posted for examination of witnesses on 10.10.2023. There are 12 listed witnesses to be examined in this case and the prosecution contemplates to complete the trial within a period of two months.
