Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to complete and pass final orders on the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner vide charge memo dated 06.05.2016 and consequently, direct the respondents to release gratuity, pension and other terminal benefits within the reasonable time.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The case of the petitioner is that he entered service as Bill Collector in the year 1985. Subsequently, the petitioner was promoted as Selection Grade Executive Officer in the year 2001. On 31.05.2016, the petitioner attained superannuation. On 06.05.2016, a charge memo was issued on certain allegations. However, enquiry was completed in the year 2017. Till date, no final order was passed. Therefore, the petitioner has made representations dated 03.11.2017 and 24.05.2019 to pass final orders. However, no final order was passed. Hence this writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to pass final orders within the reasonable time.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, though enquiry was completed in the year 2017, the respondents have not passed final orders till date. Hence, this Court hereby directs the respondents to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
