ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to renew the passport based on the application submitted by the petitioner on 13.11.2024. 2.

The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the 2nd respondent submitted that an FIR came to be registered in Crime No.32 of 2019 and on completion of investigation, a closure report was filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate I, Alandur, as action dropped.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that RCS No.20 of 2023 was also closed by the concerned Court on 26.04.2023. 4.

In the light of the above development, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 13.11.2024 and renew the passport for the regular period if the petitioner has satisfied all the other requirements. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
