ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the complaint in C.S.R. No.74 of 2016 on the file of the Inspector of Police, C2, Elephant Gate, Chennai - 79.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the petitioner lodged a complaint with the respondent police and on the said complaint, the petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.74/2016.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, in accordance with the law laid down by the Honourable Apex Court in Lalita Kumari https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

vs. Govt. of U.P. & others [(2014) 4 SCC 1], otherwise, the petition may be closed under intimation to the petitioner.
