Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conclude the ongoing enquiry with regarding to the issuance of patta to the petitioner land at S.No.122/7, Mangalampetti Town Panchayat, Viruthachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, within a stipulated time as this Court may please and pass such further or other orders as this Court may deem fit and necessary to the facts 1/5

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to conclude the enquiry pending on the file of the second respondent with regard to issue of patta in respect of land in S.No.122/7, situated at Mangalampetti Town Panchayat, Viruthachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is seen from the typed set of papers the second respondent already issued enquiry notice to the petitioner and other interested parties in his proceedings No.Na.Ka.A4/4104/2024 dated 19.06.2024. However, till date no final order is passed. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/5

3. Mr.S.J.Sathik Mohamed, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents submits that enquiry would be completed by the second respondent and final order would be passed on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to complete the enquiry pursuant to the proceedings bearing No. No.Na.Ka.A4/4104/2024 dated 19.06.2024 and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
