Manapparai Bar Association, v. The Registrar General,
WP No.4103 of 2016 The Hon`ble The. CHIEF JUSTICE Manapparai Bar Association, Rep. by its Secretary, V.Selvaraj, Judicial Magistrate Campus, Tiruchirapalli Road, Manapparai, Tiruchi District.
Vs The Registrar General, High Court, Chennai-104. and 4 others.
The affidavit filed on behalf of the second and third respondent /State of Tamil Nadu shows that the combined court buildings and quarters for Judicial Officers in Manaparai, Trichy District is progressing and the Tender Award Committee has approved the tender on 29.06.2016. The preliminary work of clearing the area has also begun.
2. Learned Government Pleader assures that this would be carried forwarded to its logical consequence.
3. On the larger issue, we have perused the report of the Registrar General which suggests that considering the funds which would have been capable of allocation for 2014-15 and 2015-16, an additional allocation of Rs.140.91 Crores should be made by the Central Government for the year 2016-17 over and above the sum of Rs.50 Crores sanctioned. These aspects are being examined in W.P.No.29147 of 2014. There would have to be a matching share of the State Government funds. The details of the project undertaken with the funds for the year 2013-14 and the stage of construction work have also been set out.
4. We are of the view that no further directions are required in this matter, but a copy of the affidavit along with the order passed by us today shall be placed in the file of W.P.No.29147 of 2014 for necessary consideration.
