Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner after receipt of Survey Report from the 4th respondent for the property situated at village Survey No.296/43, RS No.55/6, situtated at No.12, RC Street, Kanur village, Kattumannargudi Taluk, Cuddalore District. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, appointed as Legal Aid Counsel by the High Court Legal Services Committee, Chennai, and Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and with the consent on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The grievance expressed by the petitioner, who is a Senior Citizen, is that despite very many representations, last of which is dated 27.09.2016, his request for measure the property and to issue patta in his favour in respect of the property admeasuring to an extent of 0.12 cents, situate at No.12, R.C.Street, RS.No.55/6, Kanur Village, Kattumannargudi Taluk, Cuddalore District, has not been considered till date. Hence, he has come forward with the present petition.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the representation of the petitioner dated 27.09.2016, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
