ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.1073/2024 on the file of the

respondent police and file the final report before the Judicial Magistrate-I at Tiruppur within the time prescribed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that due to dispute with her husband she initially lodged a complaint before the local police and as they had not taken any action, she filed a complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate Tiruppur and on the direction of the learned Magistrate, a case in Crime No.1073 of 2024 for the offences under sections 419, 420 and 506[ii] of IPC has been registered by the respondent. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though a case has been registered, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, seeks a direction to the respondent to file the final report within the time fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] on instructions submitted that the investigation is in progress and they will complete investigation and file final report within a period of eight weeks.

4. In view of the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side], the respondent is directed to complete investigation and file final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
