ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to grant permission to conduct Cultural Programme Adal Padal in the event of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Festival, Vadugampalayam Village, Minnakkal Post, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District on 10.11.2022 between 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.10.2022.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 10.11.2022 between 06.00 pm to 11.00 pm, in the temple festival at Sri Maha Mariamman Temple Festival, Vadugampalayam Village, Minnakkal Post, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 22.10.2022 to the respondents. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.

4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.

5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.10.2022 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 01.11.2022 jrs
