ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
The writ petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to regularise the petitioner's service in the light of Judgment delivered by the Hon'ble Apex Court in SLP (C) No.5580 of 2024 and SLP (C) No.11086 of 2024, dated 20.12.2024 (Jaggo Case).

The case of the petitioner is that, the petitioner's father viz., Abdul Razeeth was appointed as Driver in the 2nd respondent Bank. While so, unfortunately, he died on 30.11.2016, while he was in service. Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted an application to the respondents seeking compassionate appointment and subsequently, he was allowed to join duty as Driver on 17.02.2017 on contract basis. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, his service was not regularised and aggrieved by the same, he sent representation to the respondents dated 12.07.2025, seeking regularisation and the same was kept pending. Hence the petition.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that, when the respondents came to know about the filing of the present writ petition, they stopped the petitioner, who has been working in the respondent / Bank as Driver on the contract basis.

However, the said contention was objected by the learned Government Advocate. He would submit further submit that, pursuant to the petitioner's request, the 2nd respondent has already sent a proposal to the 1st respondent vide letter dated 31.07.2025.

In view of the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2025 and the consequential proposal dated 31.07.2025, issued by the 2nd respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
