By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioners herein seeks a direction to the respondents to effect necessary changes in the revenue records in favour of the petitioners in respect of the property situated in Survey No.268/1A with an extent of 84 cents in Thiruneermalai Village, Pallavaram Taluk, Kanchipuram District and issue patta in the name of the petitioners.
3. It is the case of the petitioners that they purchased 84 cents of land in the above mentioned survey number under a registered Sale Deed dated 10.12.1983. Thereafter, it came to the knowledge of the petitioner that the 2/6
above mentioned land was covered by the Urban Land Ceiling proceedings. Therefore, the petitioners applied for regularisation of their lands under innocent purchasers scheme. The petitioners also paid necessary charges towards the land value as per G.O.No.565, Revenue, dated 26.09.2008. Subsequently, the Government also issued G.O.(Ms).No.499, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Urban Land Ceiling Wing, ULC-I(2) Section, dated 29.09.2023 regularising the lands as per the request made by the petitioners. Subsequently, the 1st petitioner submitted a representation before the 4th respondent on 19.02.2024 seeking issuance of patta in their names and the same has not been considered till date, though the 4th respondent sought for report from the concerned Surveyor. Hence, the petitioners have come before this Court.
4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the 1st petitioner dated 19.02.2024 will be considered by the 4th respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 4th respondent to consider the representation of the 1st petitioner dated 19.02.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
