Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta and to measure the land siuate at Survey No.276/8 measuring an extent of 10 cents at Panamalai Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District and earmark the boundaries based on the application dated 01.07.2024 submitted by the petitioner.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to survey and issue patta in respect of the land situated in S.No.276/8 by considering his application dated 01.07.2024.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his grand mother purchased the property on 20.01.1952 and the petitioner and other legal heirs have been in possession and enjoyment of the said property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an application on 01.07.2024 seeking survey and issuance of patta in respect of the above mentioned land and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the online application of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame 2/5

fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 01.07.2024 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and other interested parties.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
