The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to disburse the arrears of review benefits along with interest for the belated payment with effect from 01.09.2010 to 01.12.2015, within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he joined the service of the respondent corporation as a Conductor in Pattukottai Azhagiri Transport Corporation (Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited) on 02.05.1980.
On 30.06.2012, the petitioner retired for the service. The petitioner would further submit that he was entitled for review benefits, after six years of completion the petitioner was entitled for first review, after completion of the next eight years he was entitled for second review, after completion of twenty one years he was entitled to third review and after completion of thirty years of service he was entitled for fourth review. The petitioner received first three review benefits, however, the fourth review benefit has not been received by him. On 05.01.2019, the petitioner made a representation to settle the arrears of the review benefits. However, till date the said representation was not considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation dated 05.01.2019 in accordance with law.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.01.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
