O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to enter correct Date of Birth of the petitioner as 26.08.1970 in the Service Register, as directed by the 1st respondent vide his communication dated 25.08.2022.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that she is an orphan and the Sisters who raised the petitioner had inadvertently given her Date of Birth as 26.08.1966 and the same has been registered in her Certificates, whereas, her actual Date of Birth is 26.08.1970. Thereafter, the petitioner entered into Government Service and based on her Certificates, the Date of Birth has been wrongly registered as 26.08.1966 in her Government Service Register, instead of 26.08.1970. Therefore, the petitioner submitted her representation to the respondents to correct the Date of Birth in the Service Register. Though the 1st respondent was inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to carry out the necessary correction in the Date of Birth of the petitioner in her Service Register, the 2nd respondent has not taken any steps to correct the same, despite issuance of show cause notice by the 1st respondent. Hence, the writ.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the 1st respondent. 4.It is seen that the 1st respondent vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.286/A2/2022, dated 25.08.2022, has directed the 2nd respondent to carry out the necessary correction in the Date of the Birth of the petitioner in her Service Register. In such view of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to comply with the said direction of the 1st respondent and make necessary corrections in the Date of the Birth of the petitioner in her Service Register, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
