ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, inter alia, alleging that the proposed work for the development of water body is not going on satisfactorily. According to the petitioner, material of inferior quality is being used.

In the status report filed by the second respondent, it has been stated that the work has been assigned in favour of one "Nallanpillaipetral Periya Eri Madagu Neer Payanpaduthuvor Nala Sangam" as per G.O.(D).No.173 dated 02.07.2019 and Special Officers have been appointed to oversee the work and frequent monitoring is being done.
3. As on today, under the Scheme, the following works have been completed, namely, the re-construction of sluices, repairs to weirs, while the strengthening of tank bund (1350 meters) is in progress.
4. This Court cannot conduct a roving enquiry in this regard. In fact, under the Scheme, the work has been allotted to the Farmers Registered Society. Unfortunately, even the said entity is not a party before us. The other respondents before us have to only monitor the work in tune with the G.O.(Rt).No.317 dated 12.07.2019. There is nothing to discredit the status report which says that the issues pertaining to reconstruction of sluice, repairs to weir and improvements to supply channel are already over. What is in progress is only the strengthening of tank bund. We do not find sufficient material to substantiate the allegations made.
5. In such view of the matter, no further orders need be passed in this writ petition, except to observe that monitoring should continue as per G.O.(Rt).No.317 dated 12.07.2019. If the petitioner has got any grievance, he can make a request to the Special Officers and the Quality Control Wing of the Water Resource Department, Public Works Department, Villupuram District.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
