Respondent Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.16 of 2022 in the file of the respondent by means of a charge sheet and complete the trial expeditiously and in any case not later than the time stipulated.

The petitioner herein, being aggrieved by the inaction of the 1/4
respondent police not completing the investigation on her complaint dated 20.01.2022, is before this Court seeking direction to complete the investigation and to file final report as early as possible. 2.
It is a case of land grabbing, cheating, intimidation and forgery. The complaint registered against three named accused. A1 and A2 were arrested. A3 is still at large. As far as A1 is concerned, presently he has been enlarged on bail.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent states that so far 18 witnesses had been examined. Due to abscondence of the 3rd accused and other reasons, final report has not been filed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the following directions:- (i) The respondent police shall take all necessary steps to secure A3 as early as possible.
(ii) Complete the investigation within a period of two months. 04.10.2023 2/4
