The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the enquiry pending on his filed in Na.Ka.COLKPM/7309/2023/Aa2 dated 07.06.2024 and 26.06.2024 and pass final orders within a specified time fixed by this Court.
2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of 1.35 acres of punja land situated in Survey No. 315/1, Echoor "B" Village, Sriperumbudur Sub - Registration, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram District by way of the registered sale deed dated 10.08.1987. However, the first respondent 2/5
erroneously issued a patta in respect of the subject property in the name of the second respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 17.05.2023 seeking cancellation of patta in the name of the second respondent and issue patta in the name of the petitioner. Based on the representation, the first respondent conducted enquiries on 08.03.2024, 13.06.2024 and 11.07.2024 and no final orders have been passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the first respondent would submit that the enquiry would be completed and final orders will be passed on its own merits within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to complete the enquiry and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the petitioner as well as second respondent and any other interested parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of 3/5
receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
