Respondent(s) PRAYER This Writ Petition (Criminal) is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to directing the Respondent to consider Petitioners representation dated 24/07/2025 seeking police protection for conducting temple festival at Arulmigu Sri Sellilamman Tiru Koil, at Thalaiyari Palayam Village, Elavur Post, Gummudipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur District, Scheduled to be held on 06/08/2025 between 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm and pass such other further orders as this Court.

ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24/7/2025 seeking police protection.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that by an order dated 4/8/2025, the request had been rejected; the reasons are contained therein. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that today morning only the order has been served.

4. In any event, since the order is served, and since some other issues with reference to the pathway in which the temple car is to be dragged are also under dispute, no further relief can be granted in this petition in view of the order. It will be open for the petitioner to challenge the order in the manner known to law, and it will alternatively be open for the petitioner to give a representation forthwith to the investigation officer whereby any amicable solution can be

made for the problem, and if the respondent police find that without any law and order situation the festival can be conducted, they can consider the same. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
