The petitioner was arrested on 18.07.2025, pursuant to the complaint given by one Chandru/defacto-complainant to the respondent Police for the alleged offence under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 311 and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 in Cr.No.164 of 2025.

2. On 09.07.2025, the petitioner robbed a sum of Rs.1,200/- from the defacto complainant by showing knife and abused him in filthy language and attacked him. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the co-accused person has been granted bail. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) states that 10 previous cases are pending against the petitioner and the investigation is at the initial stage.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner and the fact that the investigation is at the initial stage and that if the petitioner is released on bail, he 2/4

would tamper the evidence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 18.08.2025 ssb Note :
