This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 1/4

18.04.2025.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. It is the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the second respondent had developed a relationship with the petitioner on the promise of marrying her, but, later deserted her. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the second respondent and since no action has been taken by the respondent Police, the present petition has been filed.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above, this Court is of the considered opinion that, if at all any offence is made out and the complaint has not been entertained by the Police, the proper course of action for the petitioner is to file a private complaint before the Magistrate concerned instead of seeking a direction from this Court. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to issue any 2/4

blanket directions to the first respondent Police.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. No costs.
