ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 28.10.2023 seeking waiver of loan borrowed by the petitioner. 2.

The petitioner is an agriculturist and availed loan from the fifth respondent for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/-. Thereafter the Government passed order in GO.Ms.no.16 Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection (CCI) Department dated 08.02.2021 thereby waiving the agricultural loan obtained by the farmers from the Cooperative Societies all over Tamilnadu standing due on 31.01.2021. Therefore, the petitioner submitted representation to waive the loan borrowed by him. 3.

The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that 2/4

though the petitioner applied loan prior to 31.01.2021, the loan was sanctioned and the loan amount was disbursed after 02.02.2021. Therefore, the Government order is not applicable to the case of the petitioner to waive the loan borrowed by him. 4.

In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
