(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) The petitioner is the father of the detenue, who is a minor girl. Pursuant to the directions of this Court dated 27.09.2023, the detenue was secured and produced before this Court. We were surprised to find, on that date, the detenue was not willing to go with her parents even though the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the antecedents of the fifth respondent who was helping the minor are not good and that the minor should be given counselling. Thereafter, this Court vide order dated 20.11.2023 finding that the minor is under the influence of somebody, directed to give counselling to the minor. Accordingly, the Child Welfare Committee at Krishnagiri made arrangements to give counselling to the minor detenue.

On counselling, it appears that the detenue has now agreed to go with her parents and she has also agreed for medical termination of the pregnancy. It is also reported that the medical termination of pregnancy has been done. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to proceed further and the respondent may take appropriate steps in accordance with law. Compliance of the order dated 27.09.2023 is recorded.
