PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted on 08.08.2024.

O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to consider his representation dated 08.08.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that 32 cents of agricultural land belongs to petitioner situated in Survey Field No.231/5C1 at Kurumbanjsavadi village, Ariyalur Taluk was purchased by petitioner's parents under registered sale deed dated 30.03.1977. The petitioner's family have been in possession and enjoyment of the said property from the date of purchase. The respondents initiated land acquisition proceedings against the said property in the year 1980. It is the case of the petitioner that in spite of the acquisition proceedings, the possession of the property remains with the petitioner and no compensation amount was also paid. It is also stated that the petitioner's property has not been taken over and utilised by the acquisition body namely the 2nd respondent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 31.07.2024 before the 2/4

2nd respondent seeking re-conveyance of the above said land and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court .

4. The learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the 1st respondent, submits that representation of the petitioner will be considered on its' own merits within a time fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2024 and pass final orders on its' own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
