ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by Dr.Anita Sumanth J.) Statutory notice has been issued in this matter on 24.04.2026. Today Mr.Katta Ravi Teja, Revenue Divisional Officer/contemnor, is present in Court and we record his appearance.

Mr.P.V.Balasubramanian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Government Counsel, appearing for the State, states that on 03.06.2026 reference has been made to the Divisional Monitoring Committee. Clearly this reference has been made only after statutory notice has been issued despite the direction having been issued as early as 07.06.2024. We do not appreciate the delay for which no explanation, let alone, acceptable explanation is tendered.

Be that as it may, since the reference has, at long last, been made now, let the Divisional Monitoring Committee get on with the process of enquiry and comply with the directions under paragraph 11 of order dated 07.06.2024 expeditiously, and at any rate, within a period of six (6) months. 4.
