O R D E R

This petition has been filed to call for the records of the proceeding and quash the FIR No.270 of 2017 pending on the file of the Inspector of Police, Virudhachalam.

2. This case was listed on 21.07.2017 for admission. At the time of admission, the learned counsel for the petitioners requested this court to adjourn the matter. Accordingly, it was adjourned to 28.07.2017. Thereafter, the petitioner did not take any step to bring the matter for admission. Therefore, it is pending for the past three years even for admission as such. Hence, this court is not inclined to entertain this petition because the petitioner has no interest to pursue the matter.

3. However, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent has submitted that in Cr.No.270 of 2017, already investigation completed and filed final report which is pending for committal in PRC.No.32 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Virudhachalam. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition also become infructuous.

4. In the result, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. -s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar
