Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take immediate and effective steps to stop all ongoing illegal operations and encroachments therein, and to protect the ponds, rivers and other water bodies situate in S.No.34/2 and its surrounding environment from further degradation due to illegal mining activities.

2. Petitioner may approach the office of the Tahsildar/fourth respondent, who shall disclose to petitioner the name of the patta

holder, so that petitioner may challenge the grant of patta in appropriately constituted proceedings before the concerned Revenue Officer.
