Prayer: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC praying to pass an order of direction for speedy disposal of Crl. M.P. No.1264/2013 pending before the Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthangarai within specific time frame. For Petitioners : Mr. K. Thiruvengadam For Respondent : Mr. M. Nandakumar for M/s. ORDER

Seeking to enforce the order of maintenance, it is found that the petitioners have filed the petition in Crl. M.P. No.1264 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Uthangarai and according to the petitioners, the same is pending from the year 2013 without any substantial progress. Further according to the petitioners, the respondent is delaying the payment of maintenance one way or the other and unless this court gives direction to the concerned court to dispose of the abovesaid Criminal Miscellaneous Petition within a time frame, no purpose would be served.

2. The counsel for the respondent contended that he is not delaying the proceedings in any manner.

3. Without prejudice to the rival contentions putforth by the respective parties, I deem it fit to give a direction to the Judicial Magistrate to dispose of the abovesaid Criminal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Miscellaneous Petition within a time frame in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, the Judicial Magistrate, Uthangarai is directed to dispose of the Crl.M.P. No.1264 of 2013 within four

(4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in accordance with law. Accordingly, the Criminal original Petition is disposed of.
