Respondent This contempt petition has been filed under section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act seeking to punish the respondent herein for wilfully and wantonly violating the order of this Court dated 30.04.2024 in W.P.No.12199 of 2024 and pass such further or other orders and thus render justice.

ORDER

When this contempt petition has been taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Vasanthakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader (Puducherry) appearing for the respondent submitted that pursuant to the order of this court dated 30.04.2024, the representation of the petitioner dated 06.03.2024 has been considered and an order dated 19.01.2026 has been passed by the Local Administration Department, Government of Puducherry. The learned counsel appearing for the contempt petitioner has also not disputed the order passed by the respondent. The submissions made by both sides have been recorded. It is for the contempt petitioner to take appropriate legal course challenging the aforesaid order passed by the respondent. The contempt petition is closed accordingly.
