This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 23.11.2015 sent through the Superintendent of Police.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

On a reading of the petitioner's complaint dated 23.11.2015, it is seen that the petitioner and others have joined chit with the opposite party and had executed a promissory note. It is alleged by the petitioner that he has paid the chit amounts, but, the opposite party is not returning the promissory note.

In the considered opinion of this Court, in a case of this nature, no positive direction can be given to the police to register an FIR.
