The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 406, 420 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.629 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.It is stated that the petitioner had taken on lease a Toyota Qualis car bearing Registration No. TN-20-K-7000 and agreed that he would repay a sum of Rs.30,000/- per month. It is stated that he had not paid the lease amount even for a one month and had also not returned back the car. It is also alleged that the petitioner had received a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- on the promise of getting job in Forest Department for the brother-in-law of the defacto complainant.

3.In view of the fact that investigation has to be conducted in all these aspects, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 10.10.2023 smv 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
