This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to appoint a Competent Officer not below the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police and register FIR, investigate and file final report as expeditiously as possible on the complaint dated 22.04.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is an accused in Cr.No.307/2016 for the offences u/s 294(b), 323, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1998, on the complaint given by one Mani. During the course of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation, the petitioner has given a counter complaint, which is under enquiry by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chennai.

4.Under such circumstances, this petition is closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chennai to proceed with the enquiry and look into the complaint and take action in accordance with law.
